How the #3 NBA player will affect the Knicks’ chances

By Sam AmickThe Knicks have the No. 3 pick in the draft and they need to take care of business this year.

The team needs to find its offense.

They need to add some punch.

They also need to address the defense, which has fallen to 29th in points allowed per 100 possessions.

The Knicks’ defense ranks 28th in defensive rating and 27th in opponent field goal percentage.

It ranks 30th in assists per 100 minutes and 29th on the defensive end in scoring defense.

Knicks fans know how good New York’s defense can be, but there’s no denying the Knicks are getting outscored at the rim by 16.3 points per 100 attempts.

That’s a major concern for the Knicks.

While their defense has improved, they rank 25th in field goal attempts and 29st in points per possession allowed.

That could help explain why they rank 28th overall in defensive scoring and 28th at the foul line.

There’s plenty of blame to go around for the lack of scoring.

The Knicks’ scoring has gone up from 16.9 points per game to 18.1 points per contest this season.

The only players to shoot better from beyond the arc than New York are Carmelo Anthony, Kristaps Porzingis and Kristaps Diaw.

The offense is also getting better, but it’s not there yet.

New York has scored 104.3 fewer points per night (39.7) than the league average.

That’s the fourth-worst shooting percentage of the top 25 teams.

The defense is also struggling, as it ranks 30st in defensive points allowed (18.7).

That means the Knicks rank 29th overall at the defensive box score, which is a big issue for the team.

The New York Knicks are one of the best offenses in the league and they are also one of their worst defensive teams.

They have allowed 111.5 points per 108 possessions and are 28th on defense in points scored per possession.

That is the eighth-worst defensive scoring differential in the NBA.

The rest of the league is averaging just over a point per possession higher than New England, Miami and Portland.

Injuries have hurt the Knicks in all areas.

They rank 25rd in turnovers per game and 30th on offense, but they rank 29st on defense.

The most important players on offense are Derrick Rose, Porzingas, Derrick Rose Jr., Kristaps, Porz, Courtney Lee and Kristoffer Erving.

The team is also not playing well defensively when the opponent is shooting above 50 percent.

They are allowing 111.1 per 100 drives.

That puts them 24th in the NFL.

The best team defensively is the Atlanta Falcons, who are allowing only 111.6 drives per 100 plays.

The defensive problems haven’t stopped the Knicks from making some big moves.

They traded for Carmelo in the offseason and they have some good pieces to bring back, but the team needs a big upgrade at the position.

New York will have a chance to make some noise this year, but I expect it to come down to a couple of players.

The No. 2 pick is a high-scoring big man with experience.

The three other players selected will be big shooters who can make an impact defensively.
